Yes I know it’s been a while….. fast forward to 2020 and Alison and I are now living in Chicago – and yes it “is” a very windy city.
It’s also a small city compared to Tokyo with some stunning architecture – both old and new contended to sit alongside each other, the Chicago river flowing through the heart of the city with its 45 iconic bridges.
And then there’s Lake Michigan – all 22,000 square miles of it supplying fresh water to much of North America.
Much of what I’d like to explore at the moment like the National Parks are inaccessible due to COVID lockdown but it has also provided the opportunity for some “once in a lifetime” opportunities to photograph the city in a peaceful state.
Whilst our lives are on hold, nature and the seasons are slowly changing and moving on. The trees are ever so slowly turning green, spring flowers especially tulips are out in abundance brightening the city. It’s encouraging to experience the pleasure nature can bring.
We’re all looking forward to the time when life gets back to some form of normality and I can explore with the camera and be creative again.
Until then!
